Gwen Cole was born into a family of horse trainers in the small town of Okeechobee, Florida. From a young age, she showed a natural talent for riding and training horses. However, her dreams of becoming a professional horse trainer were shattered when she was diagnosed with a rare and debilitating disease at the age of 12.

The disease caused Gwen to lose all of her muscle strength. She was unable to walk, talk, or even breathe on her own. Her doctors told her that she would never be able to ride a horse again.

Gwen refused to give up on her dreams. She spent hours each day in physical therapy, working to regain her strength. Slowly but surely, she began to make progress. Eventually, she was able to walk again, and then to ride a horse.

In 2016, Gwen competed in her first equestrian competition. She won first place, and went on to compete in the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Gwen's story is an inspiration to everyone who has ever faced adversity. It shows us that anything is possible if we never give up on our dreams.
